The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Group

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and malevolent powers expanding in power within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of this adventure are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of characters who will branch out from the central cast to begin their separate journey, apart from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Considering an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, connecting the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

According to the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are rare.

Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

First, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—exploited the foes for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.

Casimir then settled his debts and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks vengeance.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and warns that it is a nasty place.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • However, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could enable the team access places they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and Wicander defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the clan.

This results in them few options but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

From episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the combat party won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight participants to form the Questers and Strategists tables.

Viewers can anticipate discovering which players will be assigned to which table in the story’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on next week.
